TELEGRAM GOES ALL-IN ON AI BOTS
@telegram shipped a major update on Thursday adding 10+ AI features and 200+ improvements, headlined by a system that lets users tag any AI bot in any chat to get instant responses without adding it as a member.
Bot-to-bot communication is also live, letting AI agents automate workflows by talking directly to each other. Users can connect a bot to their profile to auto-respond to messages, build and share custom AI styles in the text editor, and stream bot responses as they generate.
The expanded emoji and sticker search now covers 100M+ items in 36 languages. It runs on the Cocoon Network, the decentralized AI inference layer launched by Telegram and TON Foundation last year. That puts a $TON -powered backend behind one of Telegram's most-used features.
Pavel @durov framed the rollout as making Telegram "the only platform where all AI models can compete freely" while keeping users in control.
