just scrolling through and found this interesting breakdown of the cheapest cryptocurrency options out there. so bitcoin's sitting at almost 80k now, which is insane, but there's a whole world of way cheaper coins that might actually be worth looking at.
ripple's trading around $1.38, cardano's down to $0.26, and you've got the graph at just $0.03. honestly, the prices are wild when you think about it. tron's holding at $0.35, stellar's at $0.16, and then there's gala and ankr which are basically pennies. i know cheap price doesn't mean cheap quality, but some of these have solid projects behind them.
like cardano's been around since 2017 with actual scalability features, ripple's got real payment infrastructure, and the graph is doing indexing work across multiple blockchains. the cheapest cryptocurrency doesn't always mean it's worthless, right? some of these have millions in daily volume.
the thing is, over the last year the performance has been all over the place. some are up, some are down hard. tron's up 41% but ankr got crushed. ada's down 61%. so yeah, low price can be tempting but you gotta actually dig into what these projects do before throwing money at them.
anyway, if you're looking to get into crypto without dropping huge amounts on bitcoin, there's definitely options. just do your homework first. what's everyone else looking at in this space?
