Verizon (NYSE: VZ) lifts 2026 EPS guidance on Q1 growth in profit and cash flow

Verizon Communications Inc. reported strong first-quarter 2026 results, showing significant growth in operating revenue, net income, and free cash flow, along with a boost in postpaid phone net additions, the first positive Q1 result since 2013. This performance led the company to raise its 2026 Adjusted EPS guidance to $4.95–$4.99 and increase expectations for retail postpaid phone net additions. Despite higher debt levels influenced by the Frontier acquisition, Verizon highlighted its efforts to repay this debt and its continued focus on strategic transformation and operational efficiency.
