Textron Systems Awarded Contract From DIU To Provide Tsunami USVS To Southcom And US Navy Fourth Fleet
Textron Systems has been awarded a contract by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to supply multiple TSUNAMI Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). These vessels will support the U.S. Navy Fleet Experimentation (FLEX) exercise in Key West, Florida, and participate in joint operations with SOUTHCOM and the U.S. Navy Fourth Fleet for three months. The contract highlights Textron Systems’ expertise in autonomous systems and aims to provide rapid deployment and reduced costs for the Navy.
