CME Plans June 1 Launch for Bitcoin Volatility Futures

CME Group plans to launch Bitcoin Volatility futures on June 1, pending regulatory review. CME Group said the contracts are designed to let investors isolate volatility risk from Bitcoin price direction. The contracts will settle to CME Group’s CF Bitcoin Volatility Index, a 30-day forward-looking measure of implied volatility.
