Interesting fact: Pakistan's population has already surpassed 254 million people. This makes the country the fifth most populous in the world — according to the latest estimates. For comparison, this is about 3.1% of all people on the planet.
What surprised me was the growth rate. Each year, the population increases by an average of 1.57%, and this is a quite noticeable pace. Additionally, Pakistan's population is relatively young — the average age is only 20.6 years. This means that in the coming years, the population will continue to grow.
