My account name already says it all: I can't hold onto spot positions, I want to sell as soon as it rises a little; futures are even more ridiculous, I start fantasizing about doubling my position right after opening, and in the end, I’m probably going to get educated by the market. To put it plainly, position management is just one sentence: don’t let the impulse to “make more money” be directly written into leverage. First, set the maximum loss you can really accept, then decide how big to open, otherwise, when emotions kick in, the position will automatically expand.

Recently, I saw the set of re-pledging, shared security, and yield stacking being called “pyramid schemes,” and I actually empathize — stacking yields looks very tempting, but the complexity also stacks up, and when something goes wrong, you don’t even know what you’re really gambling on. Anyway, I’d rather earn less now than hide risks behind a bunch of buttons I don’t understand.

What I fear most isn’t loss, but losing control: once I start adding positions, topping up, and staring at the screen until my eyes turn red, that’s no longer trading, it’s me fighting myself… That’s all for now, I won’t get itchy today.
