One week before the holiday, the domestic liquefied petroleum gas market moved upward. As of April 30, the national civilian gas price was 6,411 yuan/ton, a weekly increase of 46 yuan/ton, but due to the relatively low initial price, the weekly average price was 6,356 yuan/ton, a decrease of 0.66% week-on-week; the nationwide ether-grade butadiene price was 5,396 yuan/ton, a weekly increase of 182 yuan/ton, with an average weekly price of 5,348 yuan/ton, a week-on-week increase of 0.37%, mainly driven by tight supply and rising crude oil prices. In terms of civilian gas, reduced supply in East China, lower vessel arrivals supporting supply, combined with pre-holiday replenishment and rising crude oil, boosted prices. For ether-grade products, the market recovery in oil products drove alkylation oil prices up, and ether-grade C4 followed the low levels with gains, but the increase was relatively limited due to the decline in alkylation plant operation rates. During the May Day holiday, the market overall first declined then rebounded, but demand lacked momentum, market sentiment became cautious, and price fluctuations were limited. Looking ahead, the focus of international oil price fluctuations has shifted downward, providing insufficient market confidence, and post-holiday reduced travel led to weaker oil product consumption, which may restrain industrial demand for liquefied gas. In the short term, market price increases have narrowed, civilian gas prices are gradually stabilizing, and ether-grade C4 may experience localized slight downward adjustments.
