Just been digging through some interesting tokens that caught my eye—basically looking at low supply cryptocurrency options where the tokenomics actually make sense. Found a few worth keeping on the radar.
Yearn Finance (YFI) is probably the most established here with only ~36,666 tokens in existence. It's basically the DeFi yield aggregator that everyone talks about, and the scarcity is real. The governance aspect is solid too, though honestly the current price already seems to price in most of the upside.
Quant (QNT) is different though—only ~14.88M tokens and it's focused on cross-chain interoperability for enterprises. The use case feels more practical since companies actually need these tokens to access their services. Could see some real adoption momentum if enterprise adoption picks up.
Compound (COMP) maxes out at 10M with ~9.67M circulating. Classic DeFi lending protocol, pretty mature at this point. Governance token with decent liquidity, but not exactly an early-entry play anymore.
Then there's Gnosis (GNO) with 10M max supply but only ~2.64M circulating—prediction markets and DAO tooling. Smaller community but niche use cases could see growth. Kusama (KSM) is the experimental Polkadot network, higher risk but could moon if the ecosystem really takes off.
Aave (AAVE) rounds out the list with 16M max supply and ~15.18M circulating. Top-tier lending protocol, market-leading DeFi position. If DeFi volume picks back up, the capped supply could actually work in its favor.
The common thread? All these low supply cryptocurrency projects have actual use cases, not just hype. That's what makes them worth watching compared to the usual pump-and-dump stuff.
