Someone asked me, recently feeling itchy to chase after something, how exactly to hit the brakes. Honestly, I would first stop for ten minutes and ask myself: Am I really seeing new information (on-chain data, protocol updates, fund flows), or am I just feeling anxious because the candlestick chart is rising and I’m afraid of missing out? If the answer is the latter, I treat it as “emotional trading pushing the position,” and cut back a bit on impulse.
Lately, being criticized for staking, sharing security, and stacking yields as “pyramid schemes,” I actually understand. The higher the yield stacking, the easier it is for the structure to turn into a black box… I don’t touch black boxes, so I’d rather earn less, with a clear path and transparent risk control before I dare to add. Anyway, a position is like a garden; if it grows too fast, it needs pruning, or else it’ll end up being eaten by bugs. That’s all for now.
