AWS partners with Coinbase and Stripe to launch AI agent stablecoin payment feature, supporting small transactions using USDC

On May 07, according to The Block, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has partnered with Coinbase and Stripe to launch Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments, supporting AI agents to complete transactions using stablecoins. Coinbase said that developers can build “agent-based payments” solutions based on the x402 protocol, enabling AI agents to make small payments using USDC. This feature allows AI agents to pay instantly for web content, APIs, MCP servers, and other agents. AWS said that developers can choose between Coinbase Wallet or Stripe Wallet and top up the wallets using stablecoins or fiat currency.
