I've noticed that cloud mining on phones is gaining popularity among crypto enthusiasts.
If it used to seem like something exotic, now there are plenty of apps for this on the App Store and Google Play.
I'll try to figure out what really works and what is just a pretty wrapper.
The most well-known options are CryptoTab, which was one of the pioneers and allows earning by inviting friends, StormGain with its user-friendly interface, NiceHash with its profitability calculator, Bitdeer for more experienced miners, and cloud mining on phones through major exchanges.
Each app has its own features. For example, StormGain requires a restart every 4 hours, which can be inconvenient, and NiceHash is known for good security, although it is recommended to enable two-factor authentication.
On Android, it's relatively simple — install the app, create an account, specify your wallet address, and start mining.
On iPhone, it's more complicated due to Apple's restrictions, so mainly cloud mining on phones through these same apps is used — you kind of rent power instead of mining directly.
Honestly, there are many debates about whether this makes sense.
On one hand, competition is huge, you need to keep the app running about 8 hours a day, and there's a risk of encountering scammers.
On the other hand, it's a truly accessible way to try yourself in crypto without big investments.
It all depends on whether you believe in technological development and eco-friendly mining.
If you decide to try cloud mining on your phone, I recommend first reading reviews, choosing a reliable app, and not rushing to invest money.
The easiest coins to mine in 2024 are Monero, Dogecoin, Vertcoin, and Ravencoin, but consider the electricity costs in your region.
By the way, it takes about 10 minutes on average to mine one Bitcoin with a smartphone if you use cloud services.
Without them, it will take much longer.
The main thing is to approach this consciously, not expect quick riches, and keep an eye on app updates.
Good luck with mining!
