So apparently someone just revived the original Bitcoin faucet after 14 years and people are actually trying to get free bitcoin from it? The site btc.day supposedly dropped this event with like a million dollar BTC pool or something. Reminds me of the 2010 days when you could actually get free bitcoin just for clicking around.
Honestly though, the whole thing feels weird. They're calling it a performance art piece tied to Jack Dorsey, which adds some legitimacy I guess, but still... every time I see 'free bitcoin' campaigns pop up I immediately get suspicious. You know how many scams hide behind that kind of messaging?
I mean, if you're curious about the historical angle and just want to see what happens, fair enough. But the skeptic in me wonders if this is genuine nostalgia or something people should actually be careful about. The market's definitely not rushing in blind on this one either.
