Been scrolling through meme coins lately and honestly, the space is way more interesting than people think. The best meme coins 2024 are actually showing some serious staying power, not just pump and dump stuff.
DOGE is still the king – sitting at $17B+ market cap now, even with today's -3.45% dip. It's got Elon backing it, which never hurts. Then there's SHIB at $3.76B, down -1.22% today. The whole ShibaSwap ecosystem actually has real utility beyond just being a meme. PEPE's been holding strong around $1.79B and up +1.43% today – built on Ethereum and community-driven, which is kinda cool.
FLOKI caught my eye though, up +5.36% right now despite the market being red. Market cap's at $346M, inspired by Elon's dog, and they're actually building metaverse stuff. And BONK on Solana? $613M market cap, up +1.41% today. Fast transactions, low fees, and they did a massive community airdrop that actually felt fair.
