Why doesn’t anyone watch movies anymore now?

Tonight, suddenly, I want to watch Cold War.
When I got there, I found almost no one in the theater.
I remember when I was in college, secretly sneaking out with my boyfriend to watch a movie.
Inside the movie is a game of strategy.
Outside the movie is a fluttering rush of feeling.
Now you can pick any seat.
The movie is still the same,
but that kind of elaborate, hard-earned anticipation is snapped and gone.
What I miss is the impulse to love you
after the arguments.
And now,
all that’s left is this empty movie,
and that age I can never go back to.
