There are 6 types of people who can still make money in the stock market:

The first type is the ruthless one, staying mostly in cash for 80% of the year, only drawing the sword twice a year, unsheathing it without bloodshed, taking profits and leaving, not even leaving a shadow behind.
The second type is the tough one, holding onto a single stock for three to five years, treating it as a fixed-term savings, with the stock in hand, eyes not on the market, able to endure loneliness, and withstand the big picture.
The third type needs some skill, focusing on the same code all year, rolling snowballs and doing T+0 trading, buying high and selling low, entering and exiting freely, stubbornly turning the holding cost into a negative number.
The fourth type is the daredevil team, only doing the main line leaders, not messing with the minor stocks, only going to the brightest neon lights, catching the fiercest beasts. Strict discipline, nightly review, sharp market sense, entering and exiting like the wind.
The fifth type only trusts their own quantitative backtested system, when a signal appears, they order decisively, ignoring news and headlines, executing ruthlessly like a machine. Ask him what the index is today, he doesn't know, nor does he need to.
The sixth type is the smart one, knowing when to leave before the music stops, only eating the fattiest part of the fish, just tasting it is enough. As for the temptation of the tail, leave it for the next greedy person.
I am the fifth type, what about you?
