I just read something interesting about Satoshi's last appearance. On December 12, 2010 — back then, Bitcoin was only worth 50 cents — Satoshi Nakamoto posted his last known message on the Bitcointalk forum. No dramatic farewell, no philosophical words. Just technical, direct, and very insightful.

The message was about security concerns. Satoshi was worried about potential DoS attacks on the Bitcoin network. He discussed version 0.3.19 of Bitcoin Core, which was specifically aimed at closing such security vulnerabilities. Interestingly, he was still very active at that time — no indication that he was planning to withdraw. He simply stopped posting at some point.

What happened afterward is still the subject of speculation today. One theory suggests that his withdrawal was strategic — to ensure Bitcoin's decentralization. If the founder remains too involved for too long, the network becomes too dependent on one person. The other theory? Personal reasons. Or even that Satoshi might not have been a single individual at all, but a group.

The crazy part is: at that time, Bitcoin was just beginning to become commercially interesting. The famous pizza purchase for 10,000 BTC was only half a year earlier — in May 2010. Satoshi's last message came exactly at the moment when Bitcoin was transitioning from a pure experiment to something real. And then he was gone.

To this day, it remains one of the greatest mysteries in crypto history: Why did Satoshi Nakamoto leave his last message and then completely withdraw? The answer probably only he himself knows.
