Listen, I recently came across interesting statistics about global wealth, and here’s what surprised me. It turns out that the list of the richest people in the world in 2026 has completely reshuffled. Tech entrepreneurs are dominating like never before.
Elon Musk holds the top spot with a net worth of 726 billion. That’s a historic level for a single person. SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla plus all this influence in AI — the guy just built the perfect portfolio at the right time.
Next is Larry Page with 270 billion, Bezos in third with 255 billion. All of them grew thanks to their dominance in cloud technology and artificial intelligence. Sergey Brin, Larry Ellison, Zuckerberg — all on the list. Interestingly, Warren Buffett with his 151 billion ended up tenth.
What surprised me was the scale of this boom. It’s not just inflation of numbers — it’s real growth in valuations of space technologies, semiconductors, cloud computing. America is clearly winning this race. And yes, founders who didn’t sell their shares just made big gains.
That’s how it is. Technology is truly rewriting the rules of wealth accumulation.
