BlockBeats News, on May 7th, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz suddenly intensified after the U.S. attempted to escort commercial ships, with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps launching multiple attacks on commercial vessels from various countries. The second-largest global container shipping company, CMA CGM, announced on May 6th that its small container ship “San Antonio” was attacked while passing through the Strait of Hormuz the day before, resulting in injuries to crew members and damage to the vessel. On May 4th, a large refined oil tanker owned by a Chinese shipowner was attacked outside the port of Al Jazeera in the UAE at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz, with the ship’s deck catching fire. At the time of the attack, the ship was identified as “CHINA OWNER&CREW.”

According to PolyBeats monitoring, on the prediction market Polymarket, the probability of “restoration of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz” within 15 days is 7%, and the probability before the end of the month is 34%.
