I just recently discovered this trick for receiving SMS messages with virtual phone numbers.

Previously, testing overseas websites or verification code interfaces was really troublesome, buying new SIM cards was not cost-effective, and I only later learned about services like SMS reception platforms.

Basically, these platforms rent temporary numbers to receive SMS messages.
I've experienced many pitfalls myself—some platforms simply don't receive messages, others have delays of half a day.
In the end, I compiled a few that I personally tested and found to be stable.
SMS-Activate is the most user-friendly; verification codes usually arrive within 10 seconds, and it covers many countries, making it especially suitable for cross-border testing.
5SIM also has a good interface, with clear API documentation, and can reliably receive messages from Google and Twitter.
Super Cloud SMS's US numbers typically get a reply within 10-30 seconds, and Chinese numbers are even faster, though sometimes slow during peak times.

When using virtual phones to receive SMS, there are a few points to note.
Shared numbers are often already registered, and sometimes less popular services can have delays.
So I always prepare several backup numbers to switch quickly if one becomes invalid.
Some platforms support "one-click number change," which is really practical.
Also, never choose a platform just because it's cheap; you should pick reputable ones.
And it's best not to use these as long-term primary numbers, as privacy and security are not guaranteed.

If you're just testing interfaces, any platform supporting API is enough.
But if you want to reliably register on a specific overseas website, it's best to top up several numbers at once for maximum efficiency.
Based on my experience, SMS-Activate and 5SIM perform the most stably, with low latency and wide coverage—worth trying.
