Just been looking at the altseason index on the 2-week chart and there's something interesting forming here. We're seeing this compression pattern that historically tends to show up right before things get moving. Price is basically locked in this multi-year wedge, stabilizing at support levels rather than getting crushed, which is actually how growth periods typically set up.
The RSI is still trending down though, so momentum hasn't really come back yet. But here's what caught my eye - the lows on RSI are getting higher. That means selling pressure is actually easing off. When you see that combined with this altseason index setup, it's worth paying attention to.
If we break above resistance, you could see a pretty meaningful move across the altcoin space. A lot depends on Bitcoin dominance though. When BTC starts losing dominance, capital rotates faster into alts. People are watching for confirmation signals before they pile in aggressively.
Looking at specific projects: XRP is holding relatively steady compared to everything else. It moves slower but more controlled, which is kind of its thing. Cross-border payment narrative is still solid long-term, but near-term resistance is capping it for now.
Aptos has been interesting - ecosystem activity is picking up and development metrics keep improving. But liquidity swings have been hitting it. If altseason really kicks in and people rotate back into Layer-1s, this could see renewed interest.
Sui is getting more attention as a newer high-growth ecosystem. Solid tech, adoption metrics creeping up on dapps. But it's still relatively new, so higher risk than established stuff. Strong altseason could definitely help it expand though.
Pi is the wildcard here - still pretty speculative. Limited exchange integration means liquidity is unclear and price discovery is tough. Adoption model is unique but unproven in open markets. Needs better accessibility before anything really moves.
The altseason index is showing early structural signals that are worth monitoring. Not saying breakout is guaranteed, but the setup looks like what we've seen before cycle tops formed. Definitely one to keep watching as we see if capital rotation accelerates.
