I noticed something interesting when looking at the list of the wealthiest people in early 2026. Not only are individuals accumulating record-breaking fortunes, but almost all of it is concentrated in the USA – the richest country in the world, which isn't surprising when you see these numbers.

Elon Musk has literally outpaced everyone else. $726 billion. That’s a figure no one in modern history has ever reached. The crazy part is that it comes from SpaceX, Tesla, Starlink, and now also from the growing influence in AI. It’s like he’s taken control of all the booming sectors.

After him, Larry Page and Jeff Bezos hold solid positions – $270 billion and $255 billion respectively. Google/Alphabet dominates in AI, Amazon keeps printing money with AWS. Then Sergey Brin, Ellison, Zuckerberg... basically, the top 10 is almost a list of those who understood early where the world was heading.

But what really strikes me is the pattern: AI, cloud computing, space, semiconductors. These are the sectors fueling the expansion of global wealth. And guess what? American companies dominate almost everything. That’s why the richest country in the world remains the United States – it’s not just about GDP, it’s about how tech founders have concentrated wealth.

The numbers are crazy: explosive growth in AI, rising values in the space sector, semiconductors going through the roof. And the founders who kept their shares are reaping the rewards of long-term bets that are now paying off big time.

It’s interesting to see how global wealth has really polarized around these tech giants. If you look at which country is the richest in the world and who controls its economy, the answer is always the same: those who control AI and technology.
