Deep Tide TechFlow news: On May 07, according to Cointelegraph, a 20-year-old man from California, Marlon Ferro (online name “GothFerrari”), was sentenced to 78 months of federal imprisonment, 3 years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $2.5 million in restitution for his involvement in a crypto asset theft ring involving more than $250 million. Prosecutors said that when his accomplices were unable to remotely hack or trick victims into handing over crypto assets, he was responsible for breaking into homes to steal hardware wallets containing funds. The conspiracy operated from late 2023 to early 2025, and members were also involved in database intrusions, locking targets, scam phone calls, and money laundering. The investigation was led by the FBI and the IRS Criminal Investigation division.
