Over the past couple of years, I've noticed that truly interesting cryptocurrency projects are emerging from China, which are not just empty promises. Here are a few worth paying attention to.

NEO is often called the Chinese Ethereum — it’s a decentralized platform for smart contracts that has received support from the local government. They have an interesting two-token system: one for governance, another for transaction fees. Sounds logical.

VeChain is a more practical project focused on supply chain tracking and combating counterfeits. They have serious partners like Walmart, BMW, and PwC. They are also actively developing green technologies, which is currently trending.

Conflux is interesting because it’s the fastest Chinese blockchain — processing 3,000 transactions per second. Plus, it’s the only regulated public blockchain in China, giving it a special status. It’s clear they are actively integrating with traditional business.

Ontology works in the field of data protection and decentralized identification. They apply this in healthcare and finance sectors. Compatibility with Ethereum and Polkadot makes them a more flexible solution.

Why might a cryptocurrency from China be interesting? After all the regulatory changes, a new development phase is beginning there. The main difference is real business cases, not just loud words. Plus, government support stabilizes the projects. Personally, I try to diversify my portfolio with such projects that have real utility, rather than another meme coin.
