One of the biggest mysteries in the world of cryptocurrencies is the question: who really is Satoshi Nakamoto? Although he has repeatedly denied it himself, more and more analysts suspect that the pseudonym hides Nick Szabo — a well-known computer scientist and crypto expert.

Interestingly, Nick Szabo created a project called Bit Gold, which was practically a prototype of what later became Bitcoin. This is no coincidence — many elements that later appeared in Bitcoin directly originated from the Bit Gold concept. Even more intriguing is that both Nick Szabo and Satoshi communicated with the same group of people regarding their projects. Gizmodo even uncovered a blog post by Szabo, in which he asks for advice on how to bring Bit Gold to market — and all of this happened shortly after Satoshi published his famous whitepaper in 2008.

But wait, there’s more. Researchers from Aston University analyzed the writing styles of both and found incredible similarities. The way they express themselves, the phrases used, their mannerisms — everything suggests they could be the same person. Jack Grieve, who led this study, described these similarities as truly striking.

And it gets even more interesting here. Both Nick Szabo and Satoshi present practically identical arguments about why Bitcoin should have value. Of course, two independent experts might arrive at similar conclusions, but such coincidences make many of us in the crypto community wonder if it’s really just a coincidence.

It’s hard to say definitively, but all these indicators together paint a quite convincing picture. Nick Szabo may or may not be Satoshi, but he is certainly one of the most serious candidates for the title.
