I was looking at the world land area rankings, and Russia's land area is really incredible. 17,098,242 km² is an order of magnitude larger. Since Canada, in second place, has 9,984,670 km², Russia alone dominates the ranking.
China and the United States are almost the same, around 9,700,000 km². Brazil has 8,515,767 km², and Australia has 7,692,024 km². In Asia, India is quite large at 3,287,590 km².
Argentina and Kazakhstan are also fairly large, but the size of Russia's land area is on a different level. Looking at this kind of geographic data really changes your sense of the scale of the world.
