Lately, I keep seeing people in the group yelling, “Hurry up and do the interaction, or you’ll miss the epic airdrop”… I hold my hand back for a moment and ask myself this one question: Even if this project doesn’t give me an airdrop, would I still be willing to use it? If not, then chances are I’m just going to be someone else’s fuel—and getting rekt from a quick reflex flip really hurts 😂

My approach right now is pretty chicken: for every new thing, I try it first with no more than 20u, just to see if I can extract smoothly, whether there are any weird authorizations, and whether the official website is a legit link. And if I can revoke the authorization, I’ll just do it right away. FOMO isn’t impossible either, but I set a “cooldown of waiting 15 minutes before confirming” for myself, and that often extinguishes a lot of impulsive urges.

Also, recently, in some places, taxes and compliance have been tightened… and the expectations around deposits and withdrawals really do affect your mood. The more it’s like this, the easier it is to impulsively rush into interactions. So I try to treat “wanting to get some free gains” as entertainment, and “protecting my principal” as the main line. For now, that’s it—CatCat continues to keep watching from the sidelines.
