A simple compromise is also easy: keep your frequently used funds on a familiar L2 as a wallet for small change; leave a “lifesaver” amount on the mainnet plus necessary operations. Before transferring back and forth, check if you have unlimited approvals—don’t save gas only to give away permissions; if you really want to save that tiny fee, it’s better to be less reckless.
