Japanese and South Korean stock markets open high and close high, both continuing to reach new highs

Golden Finance reports that on May 7th, the Nikkei 225 Index closed up 3,320.72 points, a 5.58% increase, at 62,833.84 points, continuing to hit a new all-time high, with the single-day increase the largest since April 2025.
South Korea’s KOSPI Index closed up 105.48 points, a 1.43% increase, at 7,490.04 points, setting a new record high.
