Abstract generation in progress

CryptoWorld News reports that, according to on-chain analyst AI Aunt, xAI’s GPU utilization rate is only 11%, yet it rents out 220,000 GPUs to Anthropic—serving both as monetization and packaging. According to SpaceX’s IPO prospectus, the pace of building xAI data centers is viewed as a selling point: Memphis’s second data center and Macrohard’s first chip cluster went live within 91 days, far faster than the industry’s usual two-year timeframe. The cost of the first two clusters was $2.7 million per MW, or about a quarter of the industry benchmark. Starlink Senior Vice President Michael N, who took over xAI, pointed out in an internal memo that the model compute power utilization of hundreds of thousands of Nvidia GPUs is only 11% and requested raising it to 50% within a few months. Meanwhile, SpaceX and xAI are projected to incur combined losses of about $5 billion in 2025, xAI’s capital expenditures are close to $13 billion, and rental payments have become a tangible cash flow. Several executives responsible for building Macrohard and Colossus have recently left their posts, and an $80 million gray water recycling plant has also been suspended indefinitely.
