At 8:53 p.m. Eastern Time on the 27th (8:53 a.m. Beijing Time on the 28th), a United Launch Alliance “Atlas V” rocket carrying 29 satellites was launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
United Launch Alliance later confirmed that the rocket had deployed the satellites into Low Earth Orbit.
According to the plan, later this week, Arianespace’s Ariane 6 launch vehicle will carry another batch of 32 satellites for Amazon’s Low Earth Orbit Satellite Program from the Kourou Space Center in French Guiana.
