Lately, I keep hearing people talk about "modularization," and honestly, for us end users, it boils down to two things: First, other chains act as "outsourcing teams," sometimes making transfers/interactions cheaper and faster; second, the paths become more complicated—want to click once, but end up crossing two layers, switching bridges, and signing a bunch of transactions—Gas is saved but it’s exhausting...

There’s also the staking and shared security "yield stacking" system, which I can understand being criticized as overly complex. Who actually owns the security, who is responsible if something goes wrong—ordinary people don’t have the energy to chase down the responsibility chain. Anyway, I’m currently just: if I can use the native chain, I won’t bother with fancy tricks; if Gas is high, I just see it as weight loss and avoid reckless transactions. For now, I’ll test the common cross-chain routes again and jot down a little notebook.
