Japanese citizens gather to protest government lifting weapon export bans

On the evening of the 24th, Japanese citizens held a rally in Tokyo to strongly protest and express dissatisfaction with the Japanese government’s recent modifications to the “Three Principles on the Transfer of Defense Equipment,” efforts to amend the pacifist constitution, and a series of related developments.
Citizens participating in the rally on the streets of Shinjuku, Tokyo, stated that Japan’s government lifting the ban on the export of offensive weapons seriously deviates from the peace concept established by the Japanese constitution.
