Iran Tasnim News Agency reported on the 24th, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, that a cargo ship named “EPAMINODAS” has been seized on suspicion of cooperating with the U.S. military. The report states that, according to intelligence gathered by the IRGC Navy over the past six months, the ship has made multiple trips to U.S. ports and has ignored Iranian warnings, violating maritime regulations. On the 22nd, the IRGC announced the seizure of two container ships attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without authorization. One of them is the “MSC Francesca,” which Iran believes is linked to the Israeli government; the other is the “EPAMINODAS,” which was considered a threat to maritime safety due to lacking necessary permits and repeatedly violating regulations. Both ships have been seized by the IRGC Navy and transferred to Iranian waters. (Xinhua)
