I find people are really strange: when they make a quick profit, they’re just in a better mood; when they suffer a quick loss, they can stay up all night thinking about whether to check again… Clearly not sold yet, but their mind is already calculating “what if it goes to zero.” Honestly, that loss feels like a lump stuck in the throat, impossible to swallow.

On the blockchain too, those few minutes of unconfirmed transfers are more nerve-wracking than earning a few percentage points. It’s like the delivery status shows “Out for Delivery” but you don’t see the package at your door—waiting becomes more and more irritating. You know it’s likely to arrive, but you can’t help but refresh repeatedly.

Recently, a bunch of AI Agents and automated trading hype up quite mysteriously. Instead, I find it harder to sleep: robots aren’t afraid of losses, I am; if their signatures, authorizations, or contract interactions go wrong, there’s no way to chase it back afterward. I’d rather earn a little less now than loosen permissions and follow hardware wallet steps—troublesome as it is, at least I feel more at ease.
