Today I got a little annoyed again by on-chain "queue jumping"... I placed an order to quickly buy and sell, but within the same second someone squeezed past me, and the transaction price just slid away, like my ice cream position melting under the sun. Honestly, the biggest impact of MEV is on people like us who love to chase and lack patience to wait; those who take it slow are actually unaffected.

What's more annoying is that it can push the "already fragile" things to become even more fragile, like recent on-chain games with inflation + studio bots. When the token price suddenly spikes, everyone starts rushing, the order gets chaotic, and panic turns into a stampede.

Now I’m willing to take an extra step: for bigger orders, split them into several smaller ones, even if it means waiting one or two more blocks, I’ll spend some gas to use private or anti-front-running methods. It’s troublesome, but at least I won’t be treated like an ATM. Anyway, I’ll play it safe for now...
