Scale AI secures a $500 million contract with the Pentagon, increasing fivefold in 8 months

CryptoWorld News reports that Scale AI and the Pentagon’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) have signed a contract worth $500 million to help the military screen data and support operational decision-making. The contract has expanded from $100 million to $500 million over the past 8 months. Dan Tadross, head of Scale AI’s public sector business, said the Pentagon was previously close to running out of the original contract funding. In addition, Scale AI is involved in the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU)’s Thunderforge project and Trump’s Golden Dome homeland defense architecture. The Pentagon has also signed agreements with NVIDIA, Microsoft, Reflection AI, and Amazon to deploy AI tools on classified military networks. In January, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a strategic memo calling for the military to accelerate its adoption of AI and simplify procurement procedures.
