These days, when I see everyone talking about whether the main chain upgrade/maintenance will cause ecosystem projects to migrate, my first reaction isn't "which chain to go to," but rather "how to get there." Cross-chain bridges, to put it simply, are just about handing over your funds to a group of people or a set of rules for safekeeping: if multi-signature signers are few, and still centralized, it's like a different way of custody; if the oracle feeding prices or messages is off, the validation on the bridge might also go awry.

Forget it, speaking plainly: I now prefer to transfer across the bridge more slowly, waiting for confirmation, especially during upgrade or hard fork times, when the chain might give the impression that everything is stable but isn't quite there yet. Anyway, I treat bridging as part of my position opening process, keeping clear records of which bridge I used, who signed, and what data was fed, otherwise no matter how good the APY is, I wouldn't know where the hidden risks are coming from.
