Federal Reserve's Goolsbee: Due to the dual impact of an aging population and immigration restrictions, the United States may be entering an era of labor shortages

Golden Finance reports that on May 7th, Federal Reserve Governor Goolsbee stated that he is open-minded about the approach to inflation.
It is evident from the public statements that there are differing views within the Federal Reserve regarding inflation trends and labor market conditions.
If consumer confidence remains low, leading to a decline in consumer spending, the focus will be on “insufficient demand.”
Due to the combined effects of an aging population and immigration restrictions, the United States may be entering an era of labor shortages.
