Abstract generation in progress

Domestic gas station gasoline and diesel prices are rising simultaneously, with gasoline at 2,011.54 KRW per liter and diesel at 2,005.51 KRW per liter. Compared to the previous week, they increased by 2.38 KRW and 2.39 KRW respectively, showing a continuous two-week trend of synchronized increases. Both fuels have surpassed the 2,000 KRW mark, maintaining a moderate upward trend.

■ Seoul’s price peaks at 2,051.61 KRW per liter… Daegu’s lowest at 1,996.08 KRW per liter, a 55 KRW difference

Looking at regional differences, Seoul has the highest gasoline price at 2,051.61 KRW per liter, while Daegu has the lowest at 1,996.08 KRW per liter, with a price gap of about 55.53 KRW. Diesel prices are similarly distributed, with Seoul at 2,038.26 KRW per liter and Daegu at 1,988.57 KRW per liter, a difference of approximately 49.69 KRW, highlighting significant price disparities between the capital area and other regions. Jeju’s gasoline is at 2,029.47 KRW per liter, well above the 2,000 KRW zone; Busan’s at 1,998.54 KRW per liter remains below 2,000 KRW, showing a relatively stable level.

■ Chungcheong region shows mixed changes… Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong exceed 2,000 KRW

The trends vary across Chungcheong regions. North Chungcheong’s gasoline is at 2,016.46 KRW per liter, up 2.46 KRW from the previous week, above the national average; South Chungcheong is at 2,015.22 KRW, up 2.62 KRW. Daejeon’s gasoline is at 2,001.95 KRW, up 2.24 KRW from last week, but has recently shown a downward trend of -1.80 KRW, indicating increased volatility. Sejong’s gasoline increased by 3.56 KRW to 2,004.50 KRW per liter, maintaining stability above 2,000 KRW. Regarding diesel, most regions like North Chungcheong at 2,011.08 KRW and Sejong at 2,001.31 KRW fluctuate around the 2,000 KRW mark.

■ International oil prices remain stable… limited upward pressure on domestic prices

International oil prices stay steady at 2,008.61 KRW per liter for gasoline and 2,002.81 KRW per liter for diesel, exerting limited upward pressure on domestic prices. As global supply uncertainties ease, sharp increases are unlikely, but exchange rates and refinery supply costs are reflected, so domestic fuel prices may continue to rise moderately in the short term.
