Lately, I've been a bit annoyed by options trading. To put it simply, time value is like a slow-moving juicer: the buyer gets worn down a little each day by the "expiration," while the seller collects rent daily like picking up some change. But when a big wave of volatility hits, that rent the seller has accumulated might be wiped out in one go, or even result in a loss. I used to try to chase every fluctuation to understand the "why," but now I no longer seek explanations. Randomness is just randomness. All I can do is position myself in a place less likely to be completely drained.
By the way, I want to complain about the current wave of AI Agents/auto trading. The hype is sky-high, and once you open up the on-chain interaction paths, it's all about authorization, callbacks, and upgrade hooks... Who's really concerned about security, and who's just storytelling? It's obvious at a glance. Anyway, I’d rather earn a little less than become a buyer fed by time value and contract vulnerabilities. That’s all for now.
