Slovak Prime Minister: The EU is gradually drifting away from the United States on many issues

On April 24th local time, Slovak Prime Minister Fico stated after an informal summit of EU member state leaders held in Cyprus that the European Union is gradually drifting away from the United States on many issues, which is particularly evident in discussions about the Middle East situation. Additionally, Fico accused the European Commission of lacking new stabilizing measures to address the surge in energy prices. He also criticized the characterization of unlocking a 90 billion euro loan for Ukraine as a “major victory,” stating that it is inappropriate. He reiterated that Slovakia, along with Hungary and the Czech Republic, will not participate in the loan plan. (CCTV News)
