Recently, I've been looking at LST and re-staking again, honestly, most of the returns don't just fall from the sky: some come from the staking rewards themselves, and a lot actually come from "someone willing to buy your risk," such as various incentives, points, or using your liquidity to do work and earn service fees. It sounds pretty attractive, but the more I think about it, the more it feels like splitting the same dollar into several small tickets and counting them repeatedly...
The risks are also quite straightforward: price de-pegging, redemption queues, contract/node failures causing chain reactions, and that feeling of "one collateral used in multiple places" with re-staking. If something goes wrong, it might not just be a small loss, but a full reckoning. Every time I see extreme funding rates, or groups arguing whether to reverse or keep pumping the bubble, I become even less confident in staying calm. My hand is already hovering over the confirm button... then I silently take a screenshot and remind myself not to be so impulsive next time. Anyway, I only dare to try small positions now; making money is just luck, and hitting a snag is just tuition for review.
