Iranian official warns only Iran can secure Strait of Hormuz
An Iranian foreign ministry official said the security of the Strait of Hormuz can only be guaranteed by Iran and its people. The official said a previous U.S. naval effort in the Gulf of Oman failed after Iran’s response and warned that any new military move would carry heavy costs.
