Recently, I've seen the debate in the secondary market about the "royalty optional/not mandatory" approach again. To put it simply, everyone wants better liquidity, but creators are really struggling. I casually looked at a few L2 small protocols, and on-chain, there’s actually no shortage of “technical solutions,” what’s missing is who will take the blame: platforms don’t want to offend traders, and project teams don’t want to be accused of cutting corners.

Recently, some regions have been tightening and relaxing regulations on taxes and compliance, which has also made deposit and withdrawal expectations more sensitive. Many people prefer to cash out first, making the “long-term” approach of royalties even more awkward. Anyway, I instinctively become wary when I see a solution that claims to solve everything with one sentence — I take simplicity as a trap.
Observe first, support if you can, but don’t pretend there are no costs.
