Hawaii Gas Prices Hit $5.6 as Strait of Hormuz Closure Pressures U.S. Fuel Costs

Hawaii gas prices rose to $5.6 per gallon as the Strait of Hormuz remained closed. The U.S. average reached $4.48 on Wednesday. AAA data showed prices were $1.32 higher than a year ago. Patrick De Haan of GasBuddy said gasoline could set new records if the closure continues.
