Domestic copper concentrate spot processing fees keep falling as the tight supply situation worsens

As of the week ending April 30, the Mysteel standard clean copper concentrate TC weekly index was -86.33 USD per dry metric ton, down 3.6 USD per dry metric ton from the previous week. According to Mysteel’s survey, the current tight supply situation at the mine end in the copper concentrate spot market is still intensifying, with processing fees remaining at low levels. The profit margin in the smelting stage is under significant pressure, currently relying mostly on by-product revenues to offset losses.
