Chinese people rarely engage in soulful communication; parents and children, spouses, friends—most Chinese people can only talk about trivial matters. Even when discussing trivial matters, being able to talk calmly and peacefully, without hurting others or causing friction, is considered high-quality communication. Essentially, either there's a problem with the mind or a problem with the spirit.
