Someone asked me whether ordinary people should choose L2 or the mainnet. Honestly, I just judge based on "is this operation worth that little gas." For frequent small transactions, claiming airdrops, running tasks, don't force yourself to suffer on the mainnet; L2 offers a smooth experience and is worry-free. But if you're doing large collateral, borrowing, or long-term storage of key assets, I still prefer to do it on the mainnet, willing to pay a bit more gas for certainty. Especially when cross-chain, I will double-check repeatedly—fewer "saving trouble," more peace of mind. Recently, isn't everyone watching large on-chain transfers and the movement of hot and cold wallets on exchanges, trying to be smart money? ... I just see it as noise; wallet movements don't necessarily indicate direction, and they are the easiest to get caught up in. My compromise is: small daily transactions on L2, big key transactions on the mainnet; then treat each bridge or recharge as a "risk event" and record it—don't call me obsessive-compulsive.
