Leading U.S. tech stocks hit new all-time highs; the combined market capitalization of the top five officially surpasses $20 trillion.
Golden Finance reports that on May 6th, as of press time, the three major U.S. stock indices all rose more than 1%, with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 reaching new all-time highs. The market capitalization of leading U.S. tech companies has hit new records, with the latest data showing that Nvidia, Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon have market caps of approximately $4.97 trillion, $4.82 trillion, $4.19 trillion, $3.08 trillion, and $2.96 trillion respectively, totaling about $20.02 trillion, officially surpassing the $20 trillion mark, accounting for about 26% of the total U.S. stock market value ($77 trillion). The top ten U.S. companies by market cap continue to be dominated by tech giants, with TSMC, Meta Platforms, Tesla, and Walmart ranking 6th to 10th. The total market cap of the top ten companies is approximately $28.24 trillion, indicating that global capital is further accelerating its concentration into core assets such as artificial intelligence, chips, cloud computing, and platform economy.
